Copav is a traditional family company that makes gorgeous and high quality hand-made furniture for external areas, such as beach, pool, garden and yard. They were my clients since 2002, when I created their first website. This is my College Graduation Project from 2008 which I had the opportunity to re-design every element of their identity to create a unique new website more up to the date with their business and products.
- IDENTITY & LOGO
the new prosal: less, light, elegant, classic modern;
The original: excess, heavy, antique;
![]()
An identity's emotional aspect tried to translate key meaningful relationships of the human experience with the product.
From that, the visual art was directed to have a soul of Art Craft built in it, reflect the key product design aspects with natural elements and respect the family tradition.
- PRODUCT LINES
The logos main concept is the junction of nature elements from respective places and human art;
symbols were hand designed with few brush strokes;
- WEBSITE
the main interactive flash peace allowed to navigate through decorated environments and learn about each individual product.
The visual aspects complements the interrelation between environment-funiture-environment to accent the identity.
Layout focused in one main visual and interactive content above the fold, and a secondary informational below the fold.
An important piece was the product customization module. This Flash app enabled to learn how the furniture could be changed to personalize an environment.
Thank you to all my professors, mentors, colleagues and friends who directly and indirectly helped on this important step of my life.
